I remember the monsoons at home when I was little.

The sort of rain that arrived without warning, sending everyone rushing to bring in the washing and close the windows. And then, once everything was safely inside, there was nothing left to do but sit and watch.

I loved the way rainwater would gather along the edges of the roof before falling in little streams into the courtyard. Sometimes, when the sunlight returned, every drop seemed to catch the light for just a moment before disappearing.

Aabshaar was inspired by that memory.

Its delicate rows of polki and cascading teardrops remind me of those little streams of rain, while the deep green accents bring to mind the garden just after a downpour.

There was something so lovely about those afternoons. The house grew quieter, the air smelled of wet earth, and for a little while, nobody seemed to be in a hurry.

Aabshaar is a little reminder of those moments - when even the simplest things felt beautiful enough to remember.
